Buckhead Murals was created in 2004, by Alexi Torres. Alexi was always inspired to paint oversized paintings and work on large canvases. For more than a decade, his works were primarily oil on canvas; however, he later transitioned into murals. Not only has this allowed him to paint larger paintings, it also permits him to interact more with society by having murals in public places and private homes. This way he has expanded his art to more frontiers, and is not just bound to oil and canvas.
